Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, if there are tee times available. We recommend making a tee time if you know you are coming out.

From the main tees, about 97 yards.  From the back tees, 105 yards.  We do have some “secret” back tees that can measure over 120 yards.

There is a lake with two holes around it.  Nine of the 19 holes have synthetic bunkers.

Our greens are the latest in synthetic technology.  They have an 8mm pad underneath with turf on top.  The turf has a special round sand embedded in it. The combination allows for balls to react like they would on a normal green.  If you put some spin on the ball, they will sit or spin backwards.

They are synthetic turf, about 2” long.  There is no sand anywhere on the course.  Playing out of the bunkers is just like hitting a regular chip shot from turf or short grass.

Of course! We welcome groups. For more information on course availability, please call the clubhouse at (833) 746-7819 and also check out our Private Events page for additional information.

Golfers under the age of 15 need to be accompanied by an adult. Families and younger kids are most welcome, please just be sure to keep up with the group in front of you.

We do not have a range, but we do have a practice putting green next to the first tee.  We will have a 10,000sq ft natural grass putting green ready by summer 2026.

Not at this time, we are a fully public course.  When we get all 19 holes open, we will be looking at punch cards, frequent player programs or similar promotions to reward customers.

We are open rain or shine.  In fact, our greens are so consistent and the course drains so well, winter rounds are very similar to summer except for the temperature.

Depending on how busy the course is, a full 19 hole round should take around 2 hours.

We are a walking only course. Being a par 3 short course, Shortland Golf Club offers an easy walk (and a great way to get some exercise!) for golfers of all ages

Yes! We now have pull carts available for rent.

We do not currently offer rain checks.

Yes! We have brand-name wedges available for rent as well as lightweight carry bags.

Any kind of footwear is fine EXCEPT no metal spikes.

Smoking in the clubhouse or on the course is strictly prohibited.  Smoking/fire and synthetic turf do not go very well together!
